axonometry of the exhibitors for catalogs

the purpose of the intervention is the renovation and furnishing of the interior spaces of a building built in the fifties in quarto d’altino, a municipality belonging to the metropolitan city of venice. the project starts from the identification of three environments, each characterized by the presence of a work table. distributed, starting from the entrance you access the first table of 200×90 cm where there is the first workstation used as an information point. on its left, a 400×90 cm table houses two work stations with a more operational character. the third work environment, separated from the first two by a sliding glass system, houses a 355×90 cm table for more private interviews. the three tables are made with a supporting structure in 80×10 mm steel plates for the horizontal parts and 40x40x5 mm corner profiles for the vertical parts. the supporting structure is covered, both in the overlying part and below the structure, with wood panels veneered in natural oak. a system of “pullers” placed on the side of the operators makes it possible to create additional support surfaces for printers, calculators, documents, etc. each work environment corresponds to a false ceiling with multiple functions: container for the air conditioning system and support for the lighting system. on the right of the entrance, a system of exhibitors for full-wall catalogues is made using white lacquered wood panels and fixed to a press-folded sheet support that allows rotation and inclination of the panels so that they are more visible from the external windows. the main display case is solved by placing it in the lower part of a catalog holder with tiltable shelves from 0 ° to 45 °. the floor is made with the venetian terrazzo technique to which regular white marble tesserae have been inserted at a distance of 3×3 cm, while the external doors and windows are made of brushed stainless steel and integrated into the wall.
